    About Us

    16-19 Bursary

The Government bursary scheme is designed to help eligible or vulnerable 16-19 years olds who continue in full-time education.  The scheme is made up of two parts – a guaranteed payment to a small group of the most vulnerable, and a discretionary fund for schools to distribute.  Full details of the scheme are available here on the Education Funding Agency website.

Calday Grange has funds to help students starting full-time courses in September 2016 who may struggle with the cost of their studies.

    Calday Grange 16-19 Bursary Fund

Calday Grange Sixth Form students aged 16-19 who might struggle with the cost of full-time education can apply to receive a Calday Grange 16-19 Bursary in one of two categories:

    • care leavers
    • students claiming income support
    • disabled young people who receive Employment Support Allowance & Disability Living Allowance
    Category 2:

Other students facing genuine financial difficulties may be awarded a bursary at the discretion of the school.
