Choosing the right school to study at is key to your education and success and we want to help you to make that decision. If you are interested in joining our Sixth Form we would love to see you at any of our Open Evenings.

    The Process -

    1. Express your interest

We ask prospective students to register their interest by completing an Expression of Interest form in the first instance. This is available at www.calday.co.uk/admissions.

    2. Come to an Open Evening

In November we will be holding a Sixth Form Subject Fair for prospective Sixth Formers where you will find out about the variety of excellent courses and opportunities that we offer. In the March we will be holding a subject specific information evening where you will be able to tour the school and attend subject talks presented by our experienced teachers. It's a great opportunity to ask subject teachers and senior members of staff any questions you may have about subjects, the school or future education and career prospects.

These evenings give you the chance to learn about the A Levels that excite you the most.  Subject experts are on hand to take more detailed questions from you.  They will be able to tell you about everything from the ethos of the subject delivery to how students are supported by extra classes through to assessment.

The evenings also offer you a unique opportunity to talk to students already studying the subjects that interest you.  It’s a time for honest questions about workload and how different entry grades prepare you for more advanced study.

    3. Meet the Team

To find out why Calday is the right choice for you come and meet our dedicated Sixth Form team. We host a number of information meetings during the year and would love to discuss your future aspirations with you.

    4. Attend a Taster Day

In order to help you to make a more informed choice about whether Calday is the right place for you to continue your studies, you will be invited to join us for a ‘taster day’ to meet current students and staff, attend lessons in the subjects you are interested in taking and generally get a feeling of what studying at Calday has to offer you.

    5. Sixth Form Induction Day

When your exams are over we will invite you into school to spend a day with us. You will meet students who will be joining us from other schools, just like yourself. You will participate in workshops, team-building activities and we'll even provide a free lunch!

    6. Register

You should attend on GCSE results day with proof of your achievements to register your place in our Sixth Form.
